SHIPPING AND RETURNS
Motta s.a.s. will arrange for the delivery of the products to the address indicated by the Customer using selected professional couriers. Delivery is only guaranteed for homes accessible with the vehicles used by Motta s.a.s. suppliers. If the destination can only be reached by dirt roads, the Customer must notify Motta s.a.s. in advance at the time of the order. Motta s.a.s. reserves the right to accept or reject the order.
Motta s.a.s. commits to deliver goods in the following areas:
- Throughout the Italian territory; once entrusted to the courier, the goods will be delivered according to the delivery times stated in their service policies (2–3 business days).
- Outside Italian territory; once entrusted to the courier, the products will be delivered based on the service policies of the couriers. There is no minimum order amount to qualify for free shipping outside Italy. The shipping cost will be displayed in the cart summary.
For orders over €20.00, delivery is free of charge. In all other cases, the shipping cost will be indicated in the cart summary.
Motta s.a.s. is not responsible for any delays during transport. Due to the current global emergency situation, delivery times may be extended for reasons beyond Motta s.a.s.'s control.
The Customer acknowledges and agrees that, in case of failed delivery due to the Customer not being present at the time of delivery, the order will not be canceled and the amount will not be refunded. Our couriers will attempt delivery up to 3 times.
According to Art. 59, paragraphs 1, letters d) and e) of Italian Legislative Decree No. 206 of 6 September 2005 (Consumer Code), the right of withdrawal is excluded for:
- Goods purchased by a non-consumer customer or Horeca client and/or one who requests an invoice;
- Goods that are liable to deteriorate or expire rapidly;
- Sealed goods which are not suitable for return due to hygiene reasons or health protection and which have been opened after delivery.
Regarding the above exceptions to the right of withdrawal, the Customer is informed and accepts that "goods liable to deteriorate or expire rapidly" include all food products, since their characteristics and quality may be altered by improper storage. Therefore, for hygiene and user safety reasons, the right of withdrawal applies only to products purchased on the Website that can be returned to Motta s.a.s. intact in their original packaging and resold without risk to consumer health.
The Customer may exercise the right of withdrawal, pursuant to Articles 52 et seq. of Legislative Decree 206/2005, in relation to specific products other than those listed above, provided they have not been opened or their seals tampered with after delivery.
Where permitted, the Customer has the right to withdraw from the purchase contract for any reason, without needing to provide explanations and without penalty.
To exercise the right of withdrawal, the Customer must send a written notice to Motta s.a.s. within 14 days from the delivery date via email to ecommerce@caffemotta.com with the subject “Exercise of right of withdrawal”, providing the following information:
- Order number and purchase date;
- Delivery date of the order;
- Customer’s full name and address;
- A contact email address and phone number.
The right of withdrawal applies to the product in its entirety. Therefore, if the product consists of multiple components or parts, the withdrawal cannot be exercised only on part of the purchased product.
Upon receiving the notice of withdrawal, Motta s.a.s. will initiate a return procedure and provide the Customer with return instructions, including a courier selected by Motta s.a.s.
In the event of withdrawal, Motta s.a.s. will refund the full amount of the returned products within 14 days from the date the withdrawal notice was received, provided that the products have been received by Motta s.a.s. The refund will be processed using the same payment method used by the Customer.
Return shipping costs are free of charge.
